Our Thanksgiving Cookout is nearing! There will be hiking, socializing and food. What could be better! Based on prior cookouts this should be a fun and well attended event. The club has rented the Palo Verde Group Ramada at Lost Dutchman State Park. It is a large Ramada with eight tables. The park has a $7 entrance fee per car with four people, so carpooling is a good way to reduce the per/person cost. As we normally do on Wednesdays, we will have four hikes at varying levels. Our *gourmet* cooks have volunteered to whip up another stunning meal. The menu will include hot dogs or hamburgers, cookies, chips and water. Tables will be available, so no additional chairs will be needed. This year we will be collecting funds for the cookout. The cost will be $7/person. We buy the food in advance based on planned attendance and unfortunately we cannot refund payments if you cannot attend. When you sign up for the cookout portion of the event you will be asked to pay via PayPal. Of course, as in the past you do not need to have a PayPal account to send us the funds. We understand that some of you have dietary requirements that will not work with our menu. If that is the case you do not need to sign up for the cookout part of the event. However, we hope you will still come and join in to socialize with your fellow hikers. Walk, walk, gobble, gobble! We hope to see you there!
