Special Instructions:

This is an out and back hike on forest service trail 212. The trail goes through an open field then a wooded canyon with a shallow water crossing. Bring water, snack and lunch. (Fall colors).

Directions:

Take Felix Rd north to Arizona Farms Rd, turn right. Turn left (north) on AZ 79. Take the right ramp onto Hwy 60 East toward Globe. Follow Hwy 60 past Superior to mile post #239. Turn left (north) .5 mile past mile post on Pinto Valley Rd. This is FS 287. Follow FS 287 for 7 miles (at 3 miles the road makes a sharp left turn). Just past the steel single track bridge, turn lef onto 287A. Follow 287A for 6 miles to a corral. Turn left and drive to a small barn. This is the parking area for trail 212.
