 Special Instructions:

This is an out-and-back hike along a forest service road in the area of the new copper mine. There is an interesting collection of rock formations and some of the preliminary mining activity. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.

Directions:

Take Felix Rd north to AZ Farms Rd. Turn right. Turn left (north) on AZ 79. Take the right ramp onto Hwy 60 East toward Globe. Past Superior, go through the tunnel to Magma Mine Rd. Turn right. At 1.5 miles turn left on Forest Service Rd 315. Go about 0.7 miles. Park along the road. Parking is limited.
