Special Instructions:

This is a point-to-point hike through the spectacular rock formations of Chiricahua National Monument. Overall, the hike is downhill, but there is a 600’ climb near the start. The hike wanders through the Heart of Rocks Loop. Please note that there are no gas stations near the Monument. Get gas in Willcox. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.

Directions:

From McDonalds in Willcox, follow Hwy 186 (Rex Allen Dr.) south for 32 miles to Hwy 181. Turn left (east) on Hwy 181 to the visitor center. Shuttle leaves at 9:00 am for the trailhead or follow Bonita Canyon Dr. to trailhead.
