Special Instructions:

This is an out-and-back hike with a long climb to a ridge with great views of the area. This hike requires an entry fee ($7/car) or a Maricopa County Park Pass. Trailhead and parking lot are on the north end of San Tan Regional Park. Self-pay envelope available at trailhead. Please divide the cost of the entry fee evenly among the carpools. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.

Directions:

Take Hunt Highway North to Empire (past San Tan Flat Restaurant). Turn left on Empire, go 1¼ miles. First street past stop light turn left on Wagon Wheel. Follow Wagon Wheel to T-intersection and turn right on Wild Horse. Parking lot is at end of road.
