Special Instructions:

The hike starts from the parking lot for the Canyon Lake Marina, and crosses the highway to pick up a trail with a sign marked as the Boulder Canyon Trail. We will hike the opposite direction to the route described in Hike Arizona in the URL above. The route involves hiking on boulders with the majority of the boulder hiking planned for the first part of the hike.

Directions:

Felix Rd north to Arizona Farms Rd., turn right. Turn left (north) on AZ 79. Turn left onto Hwy 60 West toward Phoenix. Follow Hwy 60 West to Mountain View Road and turn right. Turn right on SR 88 (Apache Trail) and drive 14 miles to the Canyon Lake Marina. The restrooms are close to the Marina Restaurant.
