Time: 6:00 pm dinner, followed by stargazing at sunset

Cost: Entrance to Peralta Regional Park is $7.00 per vehicle.

Dinner price is $5.00 per person, please bring exact change and payable that evening.

What to Bring: a chair and flashlight and your telescope if you have one.

Our Club chef and helpers will be ready to serve up chili, baked potatoes with all the fixins and cornbread.

Kathy Prince, a Sun City resident and astronomy enthusiast will join us with her telescope. There are stargazer apps you may download on your phone to use. All unnecessary light needs to be limited for stargazing so we will follow the National Park recommendations to reduce the amount of bright light and allow our eyes to adjust to the darkness. Bring a red flashlight if you have one. We will have red cellophane available to cover flashlights and cellphones.

Driving Directions:

Drive north on Felix Road to Arizona Farms and turn right.  Turn left on AZ 79 and drive 9.7 miles to Highway 60 and go west.  Travel 8 miles on Hwy. 60 and turn right onto Peralta Road.  Drive 5 miles to Peralta Regional Park entrance on the right.  Follow signs to Group Picnic and park near Ramada 2.
