Martha Scott has arranged for an exclusive tour of the Queen Mine in Bisbee for Hiking Club members and up to one guest, on Tuesday, March 21. Join with fellow hikers and travel by rail car 1500 feet into Queen Mine outfitted in a hard hat, headlamp and yellow slicker. Learn about the mining days from a retired Phelps Dodge Corporation (last mine operator) employee.
We need a minimum of 10 people for this private tour. If we do not get the minimum number required, then those who signed up and pre-paid will be reimbursed. Registration will open on Thursday, February 9th at 7:00 am. We must notify the tour operator of our total headcount in advance, so registrations will have to close on February 28th at 12:00 pm.
If you pre-paid and later need to cancel, you will not be reimbursed by the club. However, if you do need to cancel, we can refer you to the people at the top of the waiting list (if there is one) to take your place. We give you their contact information. Once they have agreed to take your place. We will sign them up in your place and you will need to arrange reimbursement with them separately. To let us know you need to cancel, please contact Martha Scott at the email address provided below.
The tour operators require that you wear closed toe shoes. Also, no backpacks are allowed.

$13.80 per person. You must pay in advance via PayPal. A link for payment will be provided at the time of registration.
