Special Instructions:

This is an out and back hike that rambles though gentle pine covered hills passing both upper and lower Goldwater Lakes, near Prescott. Usually plenty of wildlife for viewing. Bring a snack and plenty of water.

Directions:

From the south side of the Hassayampa Hotel on Gurley, head east to Mt Vernon Ave/Senator Hwy (about 3 blocks). Turn right to head south on the Senator Highway for 4 miles. Just after 4-mile marker, turn onto gravel/dirt parking area on left side of road. Allow 10-15 minutes from hotel to trailhead.
