Special Instructions:

This is an out-and-back hike with most of the elevation gain in the first mile. There are good views of Canyon Lake and La Barge Canyon. Bring water and a snack.

Directions:

Take Felix Rd north to Arizona Farms Rd., turn right. Turn left (north) on AZ 79. Turn left onto Hwy 60 West toward Phoenix. Follow Hwy 60 West to Idaho Rd. Turn right on Idaho Rd and follow to SR 88. Go right on SR 88 about 14 miles to the Canyon Lake Marina. Park in the area of the parking lot closest to SR 88. The trailhead is across the road. The restrooms are close to the Marina Restaurant.
