SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
This is a loop hike around a very interesting large rock formation. This is a great spot for pictures and close to Florence. Bring water and a snack.
DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD:
If you think you might be driving, please print and bring these directions with you.
  • Turn right on N. Felix Rd.
  • Turn left on Hunt Hwy.
  • Turn right on N. Pinal Parkway (AZ 79).
  • In 4 miles, turn left on E. Florence Kelvin Hwy.
  • Just past mile marker 15, Cochran Rd is on the left, continue to follow Florence Kelvin another 1/4 mile to a small dirt road on the left (no sign).
  • Turn left on the small dirt road and drive in approximately 1/4 mile to parking area for Big Boulders.
  • If you come to a fenced area on Florence Kelvin Hwy with a big sign that says "Boulders", you have gone too far. This is private land.
