Special Instructions:
This is a hike along the Salt River. The trail takes us north on the west trail to Phon D Sutton parking lot, then south along the east trail about 1 mile, then crossing back to the west trail we came in on. This is a lovely area with lots of wildlife. You may even see bald eagles. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.
Directions:
Take Felix Road, turn right on Arizona Farms Road. Drive five miles to AZ 79 and turn left. Drive north 10 miles and get on US-60 West. Drive 20 miles to Exit 190A and take the 202 Loop, drive 6 miles to Exit 23B East McDowell Rd. Drive .3 miles and turn right on North Power Road to the Bush Hwy. Power Rd. becomes Bush Hwy in about 2.5 miles. Continue on Bush Hwy. 1.4 miles, parking will be on your left.
