Special Instructions:
This hike starts at the Florence – Kelvin Rd. parking lot and goes north crossing the road and follows along a portion of the AZT to the historic Gila River. Bring water, snacks and your camera. This is sometimes a great hike for spring flowers.
Directions:
Take Felix to Arizona Farms Rd, turn right. Turn left (north) onto AZ 79. Drive 9.7 miles to Hwy 60 east. Travel east on Hwy 60 for 14.6 miles, exit 227, and turn south on AZ-177. Travel south on AZ-177 for 15.6 miles and turn right onto East Florence-Kelvin Road. Road sign says Kelvin Riverside. In 2.5 miles the parking area will be on the left.
