Special Instructions:
First part of the hike will be on a maintained trail: Peralta to Fremont Saddle. After that the hike is off trail into the Dacites to reach Robbers Roost. The return is on the steep Carney Springs Trail. The proposed hike is a variation of that described in the Hike Arizona URL referenced above. Recommended to park a vehicle at Lost Goldmine trailhead for finish of hike and others at Peralta trailhead to start. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.
Directions:
North on Felix. East on Arizona Farms. North on SR 79. West on US 60. Drive 7.6 miles and turn right on Peralta Road (FS77). Drive 7.2 miles to the Peralta trailhead.
