Special Instructions:

This is an out and back hike with a loop in the Sweetwater Preserve along the foothills of the Tucson mountains. There is a dense population of mature saguaros along the trail as well as a crested saguaro. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack.

Directions:

From Coolidge, take AZ 87 South to I-10 East. Follow I-10 East for 41 miles to exit 252, Camino Del Cerro Rd. Turn right on Camino Del Cerro Rd. In 2.6 miles turn left on N. Tortolita Rd. Follow for 1 mile to the parking lot. Total distance from the Union Center to the trailhead is 74 miles.
