Special Instructions:
This is an out and back hike that rambles though gentle pine covered hills passing both upper and lower Goldwater Lakes, near Prescott. Usually plenty of wildlife for viewing. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.
Directions:
From the south side of the Hassayampa Hotel on Gurley, head east to Mt Vernon Ave/Senator Hwy (about 3 blocks). Turn right to head south on the Senator Highway for 4 miles. Just after 4-mile marker, turn onto gravel/dirt parking area on left side of road. Allow 10-15 minutes from hotel to trailhead.
