Special Instructions:

This is a hike with good views of the area and of San Tan Park. The hike begins at the main entrance and heads down Moonlight Trail to San Tan Trail to Dynamite Trail and back up Goldmine Trail to the parking lot. This hike requires an entry fee ($7/car) or a Maricopa County Parks Pass. Please divide the cost of the entry fee evenly among the carpools. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.

Directions:

Hunt Hwy north 12 miles to Thompson Rd. Stoplight at intersection. Turn left on Thompson and follow to Phillips Rd. Turn right on Phillips and follow to entrance of park and parking lot.
