THIS HIKE IS CHALLENGING AND MORE DIFFICULT THAN MOST HIKES AT THIS LEVEL. PLEASE CONSIDER ITS SEVERITY AND YOUR PERSONAL CONDITION AND EXPERIENCE BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THIS HIKE.

Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.

Just past the turnoff, turn right on Icehouse Canyon Road. Continue 1.7 miles to the intersection of FS 112 and FS 55. Veer left onto FR 112 and continue 6.9 miles to the Pioneer Pass recreation area. Trailhead is another 1.5 to the south.
