Special Instructions:
This out and back hike offers spectacular canyon views. Also, see the historic wagon wheel tracks of the Silver King mine. The trail crosses shallow Queen Creek, so consider hiking sticks to help with the crossing. Bring plenty of water and a snack.
Directions:
Take Felix Rd north to Arizona Farms Rd. Turn right. Turn left on AZ 79. Take the right ramp onto Hwy 60 East toward Globe. Just past mile marker 225, turn right. (If you pass a sign “Entering Superior”, you have gone too far). In 0.6-mile there will be a fence on the right. At the end of the fence, continue straight to a big roundabout. This is the trailhead.
