Special Instructions:

This is an out-and-back hike with a steep climb the first mile. There are great views of Sabino Canyon and Tucson. The hike goes to Hutch’s Pool which is long and narrow with a small waterfall. There are two water crossings so bring your hiking sticks and dry socks. This hike requires a parking fee ($8) or a National Park Pass/Senior Pass. Shuttle reservations from the Visitor Center to the trailhead are $12 per person and available online at https://sabinocanyoncrawler.com. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.

Directions:

Drive south on Hunt Hwy, turning right on Attaway. Turn west on Martin Rd, then south on 287/87 to 1-10. Travel east on I-10 toward Tucson. Take exit 248 to W Ina Rd. Drive 7 miles east on W Ina Rd, keeping right onto Skyline Dr. In about 2 miles, keep right onto E Sunrise Blvd. Travel about 6.5 miles to N Sabino Canyon Rd and turn left. Drive about 0.5 miles on N Sabino Canyon Rd to entry of Park on right. The Visitor’s Center opens at 8:30 AM; Trolley’s starts at 9 AM. The Hutch’s Pool Trailhead is at Trolley Stop #9.
