Hikers will meet at the Holiday Inn Express, Page, parking lot at 8:00am, Nov. 2, 2023.
This is a one-way hike through a gulch (wash). There are great views of the canyon walls as it widens and narrows. The trail goes through two slot canyons. Note, there is a 10 ft climb up a wall in one of the slot canyons. If you cannot make this climb, you will hike back 5 miles to the trailhead. This hike requires a parking fee of $6. or a National Park Senior Pass. Bring water, snack, lunch and a camera.
Directions:
Follow US #89 West (toward Kanab). After crossing into Utah, just past milepost 25, turn left on House Valley Rock Rd. Follow House Valley Rock Rd for 4.4 miles. Trailhead is on the left, approximately 0.1 mile east of the road. Note: Road is well graded, but not passable after a rain.
