Special Instructions:

This off-trail hike follows a streambed with boulder hopping, scratchy brush, and a very uneven canyon to the summit. Bring gloves, long pants, long sleeve shirt, plenty of water. Possibly very windy and cold at the summit. Views of rock formations, hoodoos, and balanced rocks. Great views of Picketpost Mountain and Superior. Bring water and a snack.

Directions:

Take the right ramp onto Hwy 60 east toward Globe. Past Superior, go through the tunnel to Magma Mine Rd (mile marker 231), turn right. Drive approximately 1.5 miles to the GPS Coordinates.  Park at the cut-off on the left side of the road. Parking is limited. Walk up the road about ¼ mile to the large culvert and start hiking up the streambed on the left.
