Special Instructions:

This is an out-and-back hike to the summit of Wasson Peak. The trail is rocky in places and includes over 900 stair steps. There are great views of Tucson and the surrounding mountains. Parking for this hike requires a National Park Pass/Senior Pass, or pay fee at the Visitor’s Center. Bring plenty of water and food for a snack and lunch.

Directions:

Take AZ 87 South to I-10 East (toward Tucson). Take Exit 242 at Avra Valley Rd. At the exit stop sign, turn right on Avra Valley Rd to Sandario Rd. Turn left on Sandario Rd and drive 9 miles south on Sandario Rd to Kinney Rd. Turn left on Kinney Rd to Hohokam Rd. Turn left just past the picnic area (rest stop) to enter Hugh Norris Trailhead on the right.
