Special Instructions:

This is an out-and-back hike on Esperero Trail with great views. Lunch in Bird Canyon Wash then hike up trail about 0.75 mile past the wash. Can go further if desired by all. Bring water, a snack and lunch. This hike requires a parking fee ($8) or a National Park Pass/Senior Pass.

Directions:

Drive south on Hunt Hwy, turn right on Attaway. Turn west on Martin Rd, then south on 287/87 to 1-10. Travel east on 1-10 towards Tucson. Take exit 248 to W Ina Rd. Drive 7 miles east on W Ina Rd, and keep right onto Skyline Dr.  In about 2 miles, keep right onto Sunrise Blvd. Go about 6.5 miles to Sabino Canyon Rd and turn left. Drive about 0.5 miles on Sabino Canyon Rd to entry of Park on right.

Alternately:  Take Hwy 79 south from Florence 42 miles to Oracle Junction. Turn south on N Oracle Rd. Drive about 15 miles, turn left onto Ina Road. Go 7 miles then keep right onto Skyline Dr. In 2 miles, Drive 0.5 miles on Sabino Canyon Rd to entry of Park on right. Keep right onto Sunrise Blvd. Go about 6.5 miles to Sabino Canyon Rd and turn left.
