Special Instructions:
This is an out-and-back hike on a scenic section of the Arizona Trail. The trail starts south of Oracle State Park and offers great views of the surrounding mountains. Bring water and a snack.
Directions:
Take Hunt Highway east toward Florence to Hwy 79. Turn right (south) on Hwy 79 to Oracle Junction. Turn left on Hwy 77 and follow for 9 miles to American Avenue. Turn right on American Avenue for 2.3 miles to Mount Lemmon Rd. (There is no advance warning for the turn-off but there is a green sign at the turn-off.) Turn right on Mt. Lemmon Road for 3.8 miles to American Flag Ranch Rd. Turn right. Follow for 0.2 miles to trailhead parking. The trailhead is on the left
