Take Felix Rd north; turn right (east) on Arizona Farms Road; turn left (north) on AZ 79; turn right to merge onto Hwy 60 east toward Globe. Take Exit 227 for AZ 177 South. Travel 16 miles and turn right on E. Florence Kelvin Hwy. Road sign says Kelvin Riverside. Drive 1.2 miles; just before the bridge, turn right. Drive 0.2 miles and stay to the left. Look for a small AZ Trail sign. Go 0.2 miles and turn left into parking lot. On the way back on AZ 177, about 5 miles after leaving the trailhead, you will see a sign for the RAY Copper Mine, which is one of the biggest in the world. It is worth looking at.
