Special Instructions:

This is an out-and-back hike with a trip to a cave and then to some partial ruins. Most of the elevation gain is in the last half mile and includes some rock scrambling to reach the cave. After crossing Jacob’s Crosscut Trail, the trail splits at a large rock cairn. The right route goes to the cave and the left goes to a ruin (about 0.3 miles) then continues up Monument Canyon. This hike stops at the ruin. There are wonderful views. Bring plenty of water and a snack. The Broadway Cave is deep and dark, bring a flashlight or headlamp so you can explore. Bring water and food for a snack and lunch.

Directions:

Take Felix Rd north to Arizona Farms Rd, turn right. Take Arizona Farms Rd to AZ-79 and turn left. Merge onto Hwy 60 West and drive 5 miles. Turn right onto South Mountain View Rd, drive 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Broadway and drive 1 mile. The Broadway Trailhead will be on your left.
