SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
This hike is in the area just west of the open pit copper mining area between Superior and Globe. Access uses the mining roads and some of the mining facility can be seen along the way. The hike differs from the description in Hike Arizona, as we will go in to Toney’s cabin and return to the trailhead rather than hike out to a different trailhead.

- After turning off Highway 60, the route into the trailhead is difficult to describe, so the most reliable way is to go in as a convoy.
- All vehicles meet on the paved road just after turning off Highway 60 on the Pintl Valley Mine Road, which is 26.5 miles ease of Florence Junction.
- Total driving distance is about 55 miles to the trailhead.
