DESCRIPTION:STARGAZING AT PERALTA REGIONAL PARK \nJoin us for a fun evening of dinner with storyteller Teton Ken and concluding with star gazing guided by the Superstition Astronomical League and their telescopes. \n  \nWho: Members and their spouses \nWhen: Thursday\, February 27 \nWhere: Peralta Regional Park\, Ramada #2 \nTime: 5:00 pm arrival\, followed by stargazing after sunset \nCost: Entrance to Peralta Regional Park is $7.00 per vehicle. \nDinner price is $5.00 per person\, please bring exact change and payable that evening. \nWhat to Bring: a chair and flashlight \n\nOur dinner menu is baked potatoes with toppings including chili\, and cornbread. Marshmallows for toasting too.\nTeton Ken\, our storyteller for the evening will entertain us with stories of the Superstitions. He’s also an actor\, reenactor and Prospector.\nAs the sky darkens\, the Superstition Astronomical League will guide us through the skies with their telescopes.\n\nAll unnecessary light needs to be limited for stargazing so we will follow the National Park recommendations to reduce the amount of bright light and allow our eyes to adjust to the darkness. Bring a red flashlight if you have one. We will have red cellophane available to cover flashlights and cellphones. \n  \nDriving Directions: \nDrive north on Felix Road to Arizona Farms and turn right.  Turn left on AZ 79 and drive 9.7 miles to Highway 60 and go west.  Travel 8 miles on Hwy. 60 and turn right onto Peralta Road.  Drive 5 miles to Peralta Regional Park entrance on the right.  Follow signs to Group Picnic and park near Ramada 2.
