2017 Spring Trip – Death Valley National Park

The Hiking Club Spring Trip in 2017 will be to Death Valley National Park. The Park is located 150 miles northwest of Las Vegas, NV on the CA/NV border. We plan to have two full days of hiking and sightseeing.

Plan to make your reservations for a minimum of two nights, Tuesday, Feb 14 and Wednesday, Feb 15, 2017. You may wish to reserve additional nights, but you can plan on group activities starting Tuesday afternoon through early afternoon on Thursday.

We recommend that everyone stay at the Furnace Creek Ranch. It is the motel at Furnace Creek Resort in Death Valley. There are a limited number of other lodging choices nearby. The Furnace Creek Inn is a pricier option close to the Ranch. A few other options are further away and there is no lodging just outside of the Park.

In addition to spectacular scenery for hiking and sightseeing, there is a golf course, swimming pool, and horseback riding.
Reserve your room now by calling Xanterra Park and Resorts at 1-800-236-7916 or online at Xanterra.com. Be sure to ask for the “Longevity Pays Discount” (extra nights gets a bigger discount).
